除了Sonic youth全新创作的单曲《Slow Revolution》之外，这张限量版CD中收录的歌曲都是由多位大名鼎鼎的人物精挑细选出来的心头大爱，这些人中就包括Radiohead、Pearl Jam乐队成员Eddie Vedder等。

要从无数作品中选出十几首并非易事，参选者们的理由也各异。我最喜欢的还是Eddie Vedder挑选的《Teenage Riot》。正如Eddie所述，没有什么比听《Teenage Riot》更有感觉。

相比较于乐队的经典作品， 有点极简味道的《Slow Revolution》则显得逊色不少。

为了庆祝其发刊1,000期，美国的Entertainment Weekly 杂志特别列了所谓的“新经典”的排名，包括，图书、电影和音乐。
　　以下就是音乐专辑的“百大”。排名的标准有点让人疑惑，比如流行歌手Kelly Clarkson的专辑居然排在了RADIOHEAD的《 OK Computer》 和枪花的《 Appetite For Destruction》之前。
　　请注意下时间，排名是从1983年算起，而对于金属乐队Metallica来说，只有专辑《Metallica》入选，而其另外几张出色的专 辑Kill 'Em All (1983), Ride The Lightning (1984), Master Of Puppets (1986）却没有入选。

“九寸钉”是继续Radiohead之后促成唱片工业革命的又一猛将，先前短短几个月内就网络发行了两张专辑《The Slip 》和《Ghost I-IV》，大有盖过Radiohead的势头。“九寸钉”也似乎就是为了踩着RH而垫高自己，之前Trent Reznor就曾斥责过RH的不地道，而乐队一波接着一波的攻势，让人相信他们有将革命进行地更加彻底的勇气。这次“九寸钉”又来了一击猛的，乐队巡演开始，继续提供现场记录的免费下载。先行推出的试听版本收录了5首高质量的歌曲，包括为巡演暖场的a place to bury strangers, does it offend you, yeah?, crystal castles还有deerhunterdoes it offend you, yeah?的作品，歌迷只需输入自己的邮箱地址既可以得到下载提示。

诸如网络提供免费下载的游戏也只能是 “九寸钉”和Radiohead这样绝对大牌才玩的起的，有影响力，有经济势力，再加上点决心，才有可能将免费的晚餐提供到底。歌迷是受益不少，而对那些还在为生计打拼，或者刚刚自己自足的小乐队来说，却只能甘当这场游戏的牺牲品了，Dirty Pretty Things的主唱就曾对Coldplay网络发行新单曲的做法表示强烈不满，大牌们要是免费，就是逼迫小乐队跟着免费，对小乐队来说，这显然是很难做到的。如果这场游戏继续，最后结果将是大牌更加大牌，小乐队更加拮据，当然受益的总会是歌迷。

 

以下是Sony公司出品的最新产品，能跳舞的walkman，取名为“Sony Rolly”。能根据所播放的歌曲而做出相应的动作，看着确实很有意思，就不知道能不能做出POGO的动作来，哈哈。
